Since arriving at the firm, Thom has overseen tax preparation and planning projects for closely-held businesses and their ownership. Thom enjoys helping small business owners make meaningful and impactful decisions. The devil is always in the details and Thom has experience coming up with solutions for businesses whether they’re in real estate, contracting, agriculture, retail, hospitality, healthcare or professional service. Thom has helped a multitude of businesses wade through the many hurdles of getting started. Whether it is multi-state issues, payroll, sales & use tax, back taxes, or entity structure, Thom has helped clients cut through the tax code and get to the heart of the issue.


Thom began his professional career in advertising before returning to school and earning a second degree in accounting. Before arriving at the firm in 2012, he managed the financial department for a local property management group in Lexington that oversaw 15 associations and multi-unit properties.

Civic & Community Involvement

As a lifelong Lexingtonian, Thom has strived to contribute and give back to the local community he loves so much. Due to his passion for soccer he volunteered as a coaching and clinic instructor for the Lexington Youth Soccer Association (LYSA) for over 10 years. He served on the nonprofit board as treasurer for one of his alma mater’s booster clubs. He currently volunteers with Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass, which focuses to foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills to inspire K-12 students in our community to dream big and reach their full potential.
